What is LG Health Express?
LG Health Express is a convenient healthcare service that provides prompt care for minor illnesses and common conditions. Staffed by an experienced nurse practitioner and located in a retail store near you, LG Health Express is open seven days a week, with extended hours. LG Health Express is a part of LG Health.
When should I go to the emergency room instead of LG Health Express?
LG Health Express treats minor illnesses and common conditions. Our nurse practitioners can also provide certain health screenings, immunizations and physicals for school, camp or sports.
If you have a serious injury or illness, or a life-threatening condition, call 9-1-1 or go to the nearest hospital emergency room.
The conditions below require emergency treatment:
- Difficulty breathing
- Loss of consciousness
- Signs of heart attack (e.g. chest pain lasting longer than two minutes)
- Signs of stroke (e.g. sudden numbness, confusion, loss of vision)
- Vomiting or coughing up blood
- Traumatic head injury
- Compound fracture (bone protrudes through skin)
- Sudden, severe pain
- Suspected poisoning
- Unexplained drowsiness or disorientation
- High fever (104° or higher for a child; 101° or higher for an infant)
- Suicidal or homicidal feelings
What kind of conditions do you treat?
We treat a wide range of conditions, including colds, coughs, flu symptoms, stomach conditions, skin conditions and a variety of acute illnesses such as cold sores, allergies, bladder infections and more.
What can I expect during my visit?
You can expect to receive the same high-quality healthcare you have come to associate with Lancaster General Health, the region’s leading healthcare resource. You’ll also find convenient locations and hours, a welcoming environment and friendly, professional care from an experienced nurse practitioner.
How long will I have to wait?
LG Health Express is committed to providing prompt care at your convenience. Most patients are in and out within 15-30 minutes, depending on the current wait time.
Can I use LG Health Express as my primary healthcare provider?
To maximize your health, it’s important to have a strong, ongoing relationship with a physician. If you need care and your doctor can’t see you right away, LG Health Express is there for you. After your visit, the nurse practitioner will forward a report to your doctor upon request who you should contact for any follow-up care.

What if I’m still not feeling better?
If you’re still not feeling better within two to three days after your LG Health Express visit, you should follow-up with your physician.
What forms of insurance does LG Health Express accept?
LG Health Express accepts most insurances. Please check with your insurance company to make sure you are covered as not all insurance plans cover services provided at a convenient care center.

Do I need an appointment?
At LG Health Express, you never need an appointment. Just stop in. We’re here for you seven days a week. Our hours are:

Monday–Friday, 11 a.m.– 7 p.m.
Saturday, 8 a.m.-6 p.m.
Sunday, 11 a.m.– 5 p.m.
LG Health Express (Walmart) Office Hours
Tuesday & Thursday, 11 a.m. - 7 p.m.
LG Health Express (GIANT) Blood Draw Hours
Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.– 3 p.m.
Saturday, 8 a.m.-11 a.m.
Sunday, 11 a.m.– 3 p.m.
All locations open most holidays: 11 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Is there a minimum age to be seen at LG Health Express?
LG Health Express provides care for children and adults from 18 months and older. If your child is younger than 18 months, please contact your pediatrician.
Can International Students visit an LG Health Express location?
Yes. If you are under 18 years of age and being seen for a physical, guardianship information and signatures, passport/visa, and immunization information is required at time of visit. If your insurance plan does not cover the services you need, payment is due at time of service and a receipt will be given for submission to your insurance company.
